RTG is extremely aware of the important issues that effect small, rural wireless operators. The association filed over 40 petitions to the FCC in 2008, making sure its members’ voices were heard. RTG’s legal council tackled issues that included TV White Spaces, USF Caps, Service Rules for AWS, Spectrum Band Plans and stated our opposition to the Verizon Alltel merger. As a member of RTG, you can be confident that your needs as a rural operator are well represented.

Lastly, RTG helps keep their members informed and educated. The association holds regularly scheduled webinars on the latest issues and technologies that affect the wireless industry. Members can also attend RTG’s annual meeting/conference and other telecommunications events the association co-plans with leading industry organizations such as the Rural Independent Competitive Alliance (RICA) and National Telecommunication Cooperative Association (NTCA).
